I'm not really sure about the history of this board nor do I really care. At the heart of it, this was just another Aliexpress special that happened to be a hit due to not being total ass. You came for the RGB, and stayed for alright keyfeel, sound, and hotswap.

At the time of review, I had fled NYC for a suburb to weather out the worst of covid. I didn't bring any of my keyboards with me, so this ended up being my daily driver for a couple of months.

It reminded me of my trusty B.Face x2 that I reviewed very favorably. It's got that firm and steady bottom out that doesn't really replicate when metal parts are involved.

But when it came time for me to get back to New York (the best city on earth), I chose to leave this behind, not because it's a bad keyboard, but because I was pretty sure I was never going to voluntarily use this in the presence of all my other keyboards.

A big focus of my hobby is using keyboards that look and feel nice. It's silly because really, how often do you hold or look at your board after the initial build? Well, that's my irrational thing.

I'm spoiled so I've never needed to make this choice, but I think I'd choose a well-built but awful feeling keyboard over the inverse most of the time.

A side frustration is that I've become so used to navigation under a layer that not having it just ends up being frustrating over time, especially when I'm working. To be honest, if my brother hadn't taken interest in this guy after review, I'd probably have sold it, but here we are, doomed to roam the closet for years to come.
